What is a Doula?
A Doula is non medical personnel, who supports a birthing person during pregnancy, labor, birth and postpartum. Doulas are professionals, trained in nonclinical, physical, emotional and informational support, with the goal of ensuring their client's concerns and questions are addressed and respected. Doulas do not make decisions for, they instead educate you on your options so you're empowered to make your own informed decisions for yourself and baby.

How would a Doula support me?
Once we agree to work with each other, I am here to help you navigate your pregnancy, explore pregnancy and birth options, help with creating your birth plan, and answer any questions that you and/or your partner might have about the pregnancy and birth of your baby.
As your doula, prenatal care will be customized, and you may request assistance with body awareness for optimal fetal positioning, continued healthy choices in pregnancy, comfort and relaxation techniques for labor, essential oil for use in labor, and breathing rehearsal for labor and pushing. During the birth of your baby, I will be by your side at all times.
I will answer your questions and work with your doctors to ensure your birth plan is honored. As your doula, I will encourage you and your partner, provide peace of mind, and assist you with positioning and breathing methods for greater comfort. I will be your voice, your advocate, and your ally.
Support Options
In preparation for the birth of your precious baby, we offer three birth support packages to meet your needs and budget. Each of our packages can be customized based on your needs. For the prenatal sessions included in each package, we can discuss location, whether it's your home or my office. Chiropractic care is only available at our office, located in McKinney. In-home/mobile prenatal adjustments can be discussed with additional fees. We offer simple payment plans and accept HSA/FSA through your employer benefits. A retainer fee is due at contract signing, to secure your spot on our calendar, and the remaining balance paid by 40 weeks, or 1 week after birth, if baby is born before 37 weeks. Bereavement Doula Service
This service is for anyone experiencing the tragic loss of their unborn baby. Losses like this hit very close to us and is something most parents don't think about until it becomes their reality. We cannot stress how important support during this unimaginable time means to those grieving. Every parent experiencing loss deserves nurture, guidance, and sensitive care. Beyond Births will honor your wishes, be a listening ear, and provide resources and referrals. This service is free.
